Privacy Policy — Prompt Rewriter

What data we collect

When you click the "Rewrite" button, the text you typed in the chat input field is sent to our API server for processing. No other data is collected.

How we use your data

Your prompt text is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model to generate an improved version. The rewritten text is returned to your browser immediately. We do not store, log, or retain your prompts or the rewritten results.

Data we do NOT collect

• Browsing history
• Personal information (name, email, etc.)
• Chat conversations or AI responses
• Cookies or tracking data
• Authentication tokens or credentials

Local storage

The extension stores two settings locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API: the on/off toggle state and the API URL. This data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

We use OpenAI's API to process prompts. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to data sent through their API: https://openai.com/privacy
